Acoustic Guitar
Based in Sandpoint, Idaho; Robert Pierce is currently playing solo as an acoustic guitarist and is available for performances in various venues. He springs from a bluegrass seed as a Southern mountain-boy born from Arkansas. His musical growth, however, has been heavily influenced by performers such as Doc Watson, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, David Bromberg, Barney Fife, Norman Blake, Jerry Garcia, and a plethora of other Bluegrass, Country, Rock and Folk musicians - as well as by his friends.
The Music
Having lived his entire adult life in Idaho and Montana, his original music blends a love of history and an outdoor oriented life-view with humorous hues of Monty Python, John Prine, and David Bromberg. His songs generally involve a horse and a girl
- and sometimes a dog.......and itt ain;t always pretty.
